On Thursday 26th July 2012 in Ankara, Turkey, the Deaf International Football Association (DIFA) invited International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD) President and ICSD Football Directors to have an unique meeting to formally meet the majority of DIFA board members.
This was an opportunity to get altogether to have thorough consultations and mutual pacts for the best interest of Deaf football players and countries. These also include plans for Deaf referees development program, youth development camps, coaching clinic, football events, game qualifications and more.
DIFA are satisfied with the outcome, willing to tackle matters in term of regulations, constitution and to exchange advices as well as to give support in order to work effectively on global scale including the network via ICSD with FIFA and respective organisations.
ICSD President, Craig Crowley looks forward to have mutual respect and encourage DIFA to work together and support.
DIFA remains firmly to uphold the mission, which is to safeguard and promote the interests of deaf football and developments. DIFA and ICSD look forward in the coming months to negotiate and finalise the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
