The First Regional Deaf-Blind Conference will take place in Oklahoma City on October 12-13, 2012. The conference theme is "You Can Do It: Advocacy and Self Determination, Keys to YOUR Future" The conference will begin at 1:00 p.m. on October 12 and conclude on October 13 at 4:15 p.m. Speakers: Cassandra Oakes, founder of SHEP, who is deaf-blind. Oklahoma City, OK. Keynote Speaker- Father Cyril Axelrod, deaf-blind priest from South Africa, currently residing in London, England. Author and motivator. John May, advocate who is also deaf-blind.
